Canada Express Entry Draws' CRS score over the last 6 months-2020

Beginning of the year 2020, Canada Express Entry was seen functioning in constant way but the outbreak of COVID-19 has put some sudden impact on Canadian immigration process. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has to focus on the candidates from CEC and PNP categories due to travel restrictions which caused few fluctuations in Express Entry’s CRS.
Express Entry CRS
The Comprehensive Ranking System is a ranking score out of 1,200 (Max.  Ranking) used to benchmark federal economic applicants against one another. It’s a part of the Express Entry mechanism introduced in January 2015 to process permanent residence applications. The score is used as a cut-off point in Express Entry draws. This matrix has been designed to project a candidate’s likelihood of being economically successful in Canada.
​To enter the pool, candidates must be eligible under following classes: 

• Federal Skilled Worker Class
• Canadian Experience Class​

• ​​Federal Skilled Trades Class
• Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) ​

Candidates who obtain a provincial nomination through one of the Express Entry-aligned PNP stream receive 600 additional CRS points and an ITA at a subsequent draw from the pool.
In this analysis we have included all classes, which represent the minimum cut off scores (CRS) considered in last 21 draws held in last six months for inviting  the applicants to apply for Permanent Residence.
Due to COVID-19 impact and travel restrictions since March 2018, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has adopted a policy of targeting PNP and Canadian Experience Class (CEC) candidates. You can see in the chart since the month of March 2020 there has been a gradual decrease in cut off score. It is expected that big round of invitations are likely to be held once the travel restrictions will be put off.
Total 42,441 ITAs has been issued so far. There is no big difference we can see between the targeted figure for skilled migrants and the number of invitations issued as of June 11, 2020. Amidst the Corona virus IRCC seems to be rigid toward its approach to meet the projected figure of this year.
