Canada Reopens Parents & Grandparents Sponsorship Program From October 13, 2020

Canadian people and immigrants can soon urge their parents and grandparents to immigrate to Canada to sponsor their families.
​The Immigration Canada department is signaling that it will accept interest to sponsor forms for the Parents and Grandparents Program (PGP).  It will take effect on October 13-12:00 p.m. to 3 November- 12:00 p.m. EDT. These are not applications for the PGP, but are a chance for citizens to show their interest in sponsoring Canadian immigration of their family members.

IRCC will then automatically select and sent an invitation to potential sponsors for submission of applications. Selected candidates will be required up to 60 days to qualify and submit the completed sponsorship application

In 2020, up to 10,000 applications will be approved by IRCC. In 2021, it will open a new sponsoring interest in accepting a limit of 30,000 new applicants.
